Women’s Freedom and Intersectionality in Iran

This chapter explores the women's life freedom movement in Iran, emphasizing the importance of intersectionality in its demands and vision. It critiques Western media narratives while reflecting on past uprisings that united diverse groups against systemic oppression. Additionally, the chapter analyzes the impact of neoliberalism on women's labor, particularly in informal sectors, and examines the complex dynamics of internal colonialism and military economies in contemporary Iranian society.
