Our brain has this like circuit that constantly calculates the cost and benefit of our actions. So it thinks about, okay, what's the cost of studying versus the benefit of playing video games today? And anytime you you're looking at that cost benefit analysis, that part of your brain is like, why would I want to grind when I can just enjoy my life today? The problem with not being ready for discipline is we're not ready to pay the price for discipline. We're not readyto pay the price to get promoted, to go to graduate school right? We don't have a good reason to do it yet.
