How to Reduce Perfusion in the Brain With Diuresis
The most commonly used agent is a manatol, administered intravenously. Manatol shrinks the medium-sized arterioles and as such reduces the blood content in the brain. There's no magic number for dose of manatol but it can range from 0.25 milligrams per kilogram up to a milligram per kilogram. Diuresis works primarily on the brain parencoma by reducing its water content.
