The Importance of the Grand Narrative in Anthropology
Anarchists want to avoid so-called quote great man history but as anthropologists we're often interested in things like lineage and kinship. One of the things that's really clear in this book is the influence of David Graver's PhD supervisor Marshall Solens who's an anthropologist from the University of Chicago. The weight of evidence we have from the archaeological record has shifted so much during the last 10 or 15 years through a whole bunch of new kind of findings, Graham says.
