Do You Have a Due Diligence Checklist?
Most people should think about the minimum investment on an alternative between 50 and 100,000. Goldman just announced they're doing a $5 million strategy that takes a credit or qualified purchaser client. You know what's interesting? I've looked at some of our accounts that are like 10 million plus. And it's not stuff you can just choose to invest in. Some of these funds, even if you meet the requirements and paperwork, unless you know someone or they know who you are, your money is not going in. They just won't take it. So there is a way, actually, maybe work with an advisor where you get opportunities for those types of investments.
