The YouTube video was saying that effective altruism actually isn't as effective and altruistic. The argument was that if the system needs change that being effectively altruistic at Davos or as a very rich investment banker is not an option. I don't think that that attacked the core of effective altruism which is yeah but you should still be mathematical in your approach to how you give to charity. Maybe don't trust these people but do your own research and effective altruism is still a safe philosophy.
