Introduction
Admiral Kimmell is head of the us Pacific fleet. His phone rings on a sunday, supposedly a day of rest. He gets into his uniform and goes outside to see what's going on. The sky is full of chaotic movement as though a cloud of insects were buzzing round the qart. It's aircraft. Kimmel tracks one bomber as it peels away. Bombs fall and smoke rises. Water spouts from torpedoes. One of his battleships, the us. Oklahoma, turns turtle and starts to sink.
