The Hierarchy of Human Types in the Quran

There are three kinds of proof: dialectic, demonstration and argument. In the Quran originally, there's no punctuation; so if a vera was intention, then it seems like you're not allowed to inquire in the law or be harsh literalist. So he would maybe agree with this point because the punctuation might actually agree with him as well. But even gazali can't see that all interpretation is forbidden - right? I don't know if there's any discussion of this at all.
