Hegel is often associated with the polar opposite of German nationalism, at least sort of Prussian nationalism. But he does make this very important remark in the philosophy of right that citizens of the state are all equal. It doesn't matter if you are German, Italian, Protestant or Jew. You are all citizens of theState entitled to the same rights.
