Richard Branson: I started programming in the ninth grade. He says he learned to program on a teletype connected with an acoustic coupler 110-balled modem and mainframe computer. Branson worked at Bell Labs before starting his own company developing bespoke software, solving hard problems for people. After 24 years of building database engine called SQLite, which is now used by Microsoft's Windows 8 operating system; it costs about $1 billion per year.
