On Sunday, protests span from Siberia to St. Petersburg with dozens of Russians taking to the streets in different cities. According to OVD info, a rights group that tracks political arrests, a total of 1,558 people were detained in 43 Russian cities on Sunday. So even with this stranglehold increasing on information and a populist largely brainwashed by institutional gaslighting, how long can this false narrative survive when every indication around them is that things are not what they seem? And that's what we're going to dive into today and much more with our friend, applied behavioral scientist and market researcher, Sam McDernie.
Today Josh speaks with Sam McNerney on the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Some of the topics we dive into are:
- The geopolitical reactions and support of Ukraine.
- Putin’s mental health and motivations behind the invasion.
- Russia's political and economic future.
- The prospects of WW3.
- How Russia and Ukraine are both using propaganda as part of information warfare.
- The differences between Russian and American oligarchs.
- And much more.
