Is There Inherent Beauty in Creation?
Lewis has a deep stuff in this book about why did God even create something beside himself? Something was lonely. Are he needed humans? Right. He's not really good and if you're already infinitely good at how to create more good, we have to create creatures in your image that can choose the good. Well, and it reminds me of that passage you read in this unpublished manuscript at the weight of the little girl just hugging the dog and saying, beauty because Genesis 1 strikes me that way. The word saw is repeated seven times as God creates. It doesn't say and God proclaimed it to be good. God saw that it was good.
