Are the Reconstruction Amendments Any Less Legitimate Today?
In some respects, if Solin or Lycurgis gave us the Constitution, do I think it's any less legitimate in binding today? I don't know. Look at Reconstruction. Those Amendments, we rightfully treat as a binding. They give us equal protection of law, due process of law, a ball of slavery,. guaranteed African-American suffrage.
