The Role of Punctuation in Communication
Our bodies actually physically react to different punctuation marks as we see them. People perceive the same message differently when it's in a text message versus in print. In text messaging that comes across as passive-aggressive or a bit snappy, not very friendly. So again, I think it really depends on the medium as well.
