The Ego and the Dharma System
The character of your traditional oriental education is to wipe out the I want impulse and make you act and live in terms of the thou shalt system, dharma, your duty, the primary mask. How do you rise in the scale of reincarnation by canceling I, a hankara, making the noise I? Consequently, when you ask an oriental person a question having to do with contemporary life, particularly the Hindus, they come out with a whole set of cliches that have nothing to do with the situation. That means that the ego is in operating. Sometimes I think that because of vegetarianism there's brain damage.
