The Constraints of ASD
Sally Kohn: Is our goal with somebody who has ASD to try and make them look like everybody else, or is our goal to make that person able to do their thing with the least amount of effort? When I think of things like ASD, or, you know, I have obsessive compulsive disorder, so I've got my own set of, when I think about those things, I tend to think about them as just a different set of constraints. And it's not like the Achilles tendon thing where it's an obvious set of constraints, but it is some other set of constraints that changes the way that I interact with my environment, and what it affords for me.
