Is Quantum Computing Adaptable to HPC?

Quantum computing lends itself to some of the activities that we would take on from applied traditional statistical methodologies where you need to just brute force your way through a potential solution. I personally think it's a little bit far off for getting commercial versions of these. The focus that people have been having is on the hardware and how you can apply that hardware to certain problems. But nobody's really focusing on, hey, what does the compiler look like? What are the ID you plug in, look like?"
