Pelius and the Argonauts
Thedas is the daughter of Narius, the old man of the sea. According to Pindar, the goddess famous, Titan goddess of order and law, foretells that Thedas will bear a son that will be much, much more powerful than his father. As soon as his prophecy becomes known, they both were immediately threatened by Thedas' potential for power. So instead they intentionally tie her to a mortal man so that whoever her son does end up being, he could only end up more powerful than the mortal Pelius or not the Olympian gods.
