Our perception filters are not built for the amount of information hitting our senses. The idea of the shannon limit, i don't feel like that's fixed. I think that that probably scales with ic to a point. And that's part of why extremely high ic people can flit across so many concepts and holds so many pieces of data simultaneously. You reach a point where it's just too much.
