The Politics of Regulation in the Age of AI
I think it's unrealistic to expect tech companies to slow themselves down. I'm not convinced that regulation right now would be the right move either. Even if you do put regulations on things, it doesn't stop somebody from building something on their own. There are all these very confusing thorny problems posed by who develops it and how we develop it. Those are the ones that I feel really acutely before any of this stuff happens.
