Odesa is a free port where you can trade without overbearing burdensome taxes. It develops this kind of reputation as a kind of cosmopolitan, difficult to control space on the back of these amazing trade networks and relationships that are developing. Some of the greates of soviet stroke russian intellectualism are in odessa. i think it just attracts people to this sort of sense of openness and possibility and selfr invention overtime,. become very much part of the leodecin landscape.
