A lot of Chinese companies are more concerned about getting onto certain lists maintained by the US government. It seemed like the US restrictions did not have so much bite, especially after Huawei was designated to the entity list. And I think something else worth noting is that some lawyers would say that basically these are not necessarily sanctions. But you know, this is about blacklisting Chinese firms that might impede their operational capabilities.
