The Greco-Bactrian Kingdom of Central Asia lasted for a century and a half. The Phoenicians brought the Iron Age Mediterranean together into a single unit. They also invented the alphabet, which later became the basis for our own way of writing. For quite understandable reasons, scholars have spent a great deal of time trying to understand the earliest books of Judaism.
