Every church should have a confession of faith, he says. "We're not going to have a denominational profession because we'll just argue about it and use it as a clout" For 85 years, the Southern Baptist Convention didn't even have a confession. The word 'confession' was kicked out when liberals got all kicked out with women pastors.
