Should We Tax Very Rich People?
I think you have to tax the rich on their wealth. But who's the rich then? I mean, what I normally campaign for is taxes on wealth of above £2 million. David Cameron made £10 million of a year of leaving office. How much is Tony Blair worth? £20 million. These guys are more taxable than anyone. And in my opinion, it's totally doable. We can send somebody to the moon. Of course we can tax rich people.
