How to Structure a Good Five Minute Set

I think it's important that your jokes go in some kind of order if you're talking about like when I used to be a kid and now I'm an adult. So work on really what in your five minute set gets you the most laughs. The transitions and segues between joke to joke can come organically over time. Any thoughts on showcases where comics introduced the next comic instead of having a host slash MC? It's fine for one comic to introduce the next. For a showcase, I would definitely prefer to see a host go up.
