The call room was dominated by a map of the united states with little lights that were representing the main telephone networks across the country. You could wait your turn, then make a free long distance call to anywhere in the country using a t and ts bell telephone system. Oh, but just you wait, because let's head next door to something truly mind blowing. And that is the corporation of America's building, the r c a building, which was designed by skidmore and owens in the shape of a radio tube.
