Psychopathy

I think it has to be seen in terms of, at the very least, just a lust for power and control. And I think that might be explained by recourse, for example, to psychopathy. There are people whose brains actually do process the world differently than the vast majority of people. The best estimates are that there's something in the range of 4% of the population that falls into this category of psychopathy. We are on the cusp of a scientific revolution that enables the type of tyranny, the likes of which could never have been dreamt before in human history.
