In the Middle Ages, everything was understood in relation to God. So you have a story that explains death, that explains what happens after death. But they come into the pandemic and then nuclear war - suddenly death is on our horizon again. What I think that the resolution does is it takes away that fear,. It gives us back the story, but actually death is not the end. We don't have to simply shape and form a whole life for the present. And that we can actually have a stories that enables us to live into our livesThe way that yes, we will die whether something beyond that.
