The Black Death and the Spanish Flue

In the aftermath of world war one and the spanish flue, new populations had to be rapidly mobilized into work order. In several countries, that was particularly taken up by women. And this is a large part of why women first attained the right to vote in much of the western world either during or directly after world war won. The war effort largely legitimized the labor party in the eyes of the elite as a legitimate representative of the interests of orkers.
