The NHL's Focus on the Crest

The NHL is focused on the crest. Well, the crest doesn't mean shit if you don't have personality behind it. And that's why the Florida Panthers all- sudden are one of the better brands in the NHL. Look at what the playoffs did. Like the reason we care about MJ is because of the championships. LeBron James gets into that upper echelon when he goes to Miami and he wins those couple chips first. You know how hollow that people magazine piece is going to ring if they go on to get swept. If Conor McDavid had two Stanley Cups under his belt right now, it'd be easier to say, Oh yeah, that, that dude's marketable.
