R S Four 85 Communication - A Simple, Low Level Bus Idea
R s four 85 is a widely used industrial standard, so you can just buy chips that do the hard work for you. Instead of regular old serial, where you have one data line, here you have a differential pair of data lines. That gives you a certain robustness to noise coming in from the environment. Ad lets you get away with just using a regular old pair of wires, or maybe a twisted pair f youre feeling fancy.
