The History of the Ouija Board

Charles Kennard, the lawyer who secured the first patent on the Ouija board, tried his hand at making his own talking boards with little success. In 1907, he introduced what was called the Nirvana board under the swastika novelty company. Isaac fold started making a talking board under the name Oreol in 1904. It took him a long time to get the Oreol to production until 1919 when he founded the southern toy company. But like everyone else who tried to compete with Ouija, his efforts were for not.
