Child Development - Is Your Child Drawn to You?
The idea here is that the child identifies with the imaginary object by shoving it in their diaper but also by trying to be like that. In order to have the desire for the primary caregiver met, the child learns that they have to appropriate and accept for themselves what others want. This is a logic of desire that pervades human experience. It's about always judging yourself and your attractability. Your attractiveness based on what you think others want.
