Maoism is a very particular synthesis of thought that did not occur until the late 80s early 90s Mao had a huge impact across the globe certainly on the Black Panthers. The Communist Party of Peru synthesized Marxism-Leninism Maoism proper and it was later in the early 90s that the international communist movement took it up as an official ideology.
