The medicine actually gave him some access and some agency over the difficulties he had with his own mind. He was losing his edge as a commodities trader because the proliferation of computers and like access to the right information and data it just kind of outpaced his own ability to navigate is a maverick in the space. So I think he was looking for an edge and so he left the plant medicine path and went to that other path and it ultimately really deeply corrupted his mind.
