How to Keep Creative Momentum

How do you think we can keep that creative momentum or hold that desire to be innovative? It's very difficult to keep momentum from a mentum's sake. For me, I think the thing that keeps momentum again over the course of a lifetime is nurturing and practicing the deep ability of discerning the need in front of you.
