Slang Is Like That

He wrote, no one can actually remember all these acronyms, and people don't want to seem dumb in a meeting, so they just sit there in ignorance. If you start to use a lot of jargon and vernacular, as academics do, as people in government do, and so on, you can lose the meaning of the thing.
