The Differences Between TV and Digital Media
TV has a self regulatory system in place. So the series you watch on let's say Star World for instance do not have to go through CBFC. However if you broadcast a film it has to be rated UA because of a court judgment in 2007 that was somewhat upheld by the Supreme Court. A film that is rated A cannot be broadcast on TV no matter what time it is. mature content as long as it does not contain nudity is technically allowed under the Indian Broadcasting and Digital Foundation (IBDF)
