Schopenhauer's distinction between intuition and reason is important. Poetry at its best is a process of defamiliarization that you often talk about, right? If you read an Emily Dickinson poem 10 times over, the same poem, you'll see this incredible sort of spell that she casts with time. And so, I think that kind of spellcasting collapses time in a very particular way with very good poetry.
