The Role of Race in College Admissions
Conservative justices are focused on the fact that precedent requires schools do everything they can to achieve a diverse class without explicitly looking at someone's race. To many conservatives, any explicit use of race favoring one group over another feels like constitutionally prohibited discrimination.
