This record has done absolutely nothing to dispel any of my previous thoughts. I could see the label having a pretty tough time with how to market this and your album with this sound. It's very Steve Lacey-ish right now. And while those artists have seen great mainstream success without the support from your label, you can't achieve that with this style of music if the label is not behind you spending and pushing.
