The Lord Said to the People, Thus Says the Lord the God of Israel
"I plagued Egypt with what I did in the midst of it and afterwards I brought you out," Joshua said. "Your fathers lived of old beyond the Euphrates, Tara the father of Abraham and of Nahor and they served other gods." The people answered for be it from us that we should forsake the Lord to serve other gods", he added. 'As for me and my house we will serve the Lord,' says Israel's leader.
