Is the Sun a Blind Spot for the Pilots?

The upper atmosphere is the final space for human pollution. Pollution could affect our ability to see things coming at us that might kill us. If we can no longer look near the sun, then it becomes an even bigger blind spot. Rigt it might mean the end of the human race if we don't catch thet asteroid.
