More than 50% of a person's reactions to beautiful faces are governed by the culture they were raised in. Why is the visual appreciation of faces so dependent on culture? I think the force behind itis down to tribalism. Sweet smells are found all over the world, and rotten ones are found allover the world too. So there's some universalism in there, and i don't think natural selection is playing on it quite as much.
