The Cyrenaics and the Relativists

The Cyrenaics seem to have focused exclusively on basic sensory experiences, like whether something is sweet or white. But as with Protagoras, modern readers can't help seeing the Cyrenaic position as an exciting premonition of later, radical views. Some interpreters think Aristippus added one more piece to the puzzle: He may have said that all experience we have are in fact pleasures or pains.
