Oxygenation and CO2 Removal Targets

In terms of oxygenation and CO2 removal, oxygenation is the more challenging thing to accomplish. The ratio of the ECMO blood flow to the patient's cardiac output is something that I think is less talked about, but also really does make sense intuitively. It's going to be different for say like a 5 foot 2 woman with IPF who is pre-long transplant than it would be for say a 6 foot 2 100 kilo man with strep pneumonia sepsis.
