Samantha Gomara had trouble sleeping as a kid and this persisted into her teenage years. When she couldn't sleep, she'd get up from bed and look for her mom. Ancala was a constant presence in the house after Samantha was born because she decided to leave her job and be a stay-at-home mom. In December of 2008, the Gomara family was living a quiet life and getting ready for Christmas.
