I couldn't help but wonder if Christoph doesn't sometimes wake up in the morning daunted by the sheer scale of what they're trying to achieve. Sometimes I think maybe we need something almost biblical, some kind of divine intervention," he says.

Direct air carbon capture - taking carbon dioxide straight out of the air around us - sounds like science fiction.
