John Calvin's theology is profound and it is at the root of the story we tell ourselves. He believed in the sovereignty of god, which for him meant that there is nothing that we can say or do or live, or place as we can go, or inner actions we can have that don't unfold before god. And life is the struggle of those realities within us. They never go away. You sont wi could get over the sin part and become glorious. That is the complex nature of who we are.
